Why this exists

We started TexPTO out of frustration. We watched Texas solar installers waste days hunting AHJ portals for stale rules, get permit applications kicked back over avoidable details, and wrestle Oncor's eTRACK process with no decent map. Existing "permitting platforms" pitched general construction and called solar a use case — which meant on-the-fly LLM research and tools that didn't actually know what Coppell's checklist looked like, or that CenterPoint's interconnection ladder is structured differently than Oncor's.

TexPTO was the tool we wished existed. Texas-only, on purpose. Curated AHJ rules verified against real submissions instead of guessed at run time. Oncor + DFW utility intelligence as a first-class workflow track. AI that drafts the actual documents your AHJ wants, not a "permit summary" that's just paperwork about paperwork. And a community of Texas installers who flag rule changes the day they happen.

What we're building toward

More solar systems turned on, faster, with fewer rejections. Every feature ships against that goal. If a feature doesn't measurably reduce permit-to-PTO time, save a contractor a phone call to a city, or prevent a rejection — it doesn't ship.

Who we're for

Texas SMB solar installers — solo operators on Starter, growing teams on Pro, full crews on Team, and white-glove customers on Enterprise. If you're a national general contractor running multi-state pipelines, we're probably not the right fit yet. How we work

• Texas first. Other states will come, but only when each one is done as deeply as Texas is today. No half-supported markets.
• Transparent pricing. No "contact sales for a quote" games on the standard tiers. You can see what every plan costs and what's included before you sign up.
• Field-validated rules. A rule that's gotten a real project to PTO without corrections counts more than a rule we just pulled from a portal PDF. Every requirement carries a trust pedigree.
• Build with installers, not for them. The feedback button isn't decoration. The fastest path into product is a conversation with someone who's filing permits this week.
